Netia appoints a new member of its management board
WARSAW, Poland – March 1, 2005– Netia SA (“Netia” or the “Company”) (WSE: NET), Poland's largest alternative provider of fixed-line telecommunications services, today announced that its supervisory board appointed Mr. Piotr Czapski as member of the management board responsible for strategy and business development.
Prior to commencement of his cooperation with Netia, Mr. Piotr Czapski, 39, worked at McKinsey & Company in Warsaw as a Principal (1997-2005); at Chrysler Corporation, USA, as the research engineer (1995 – 1997) and earlier at the University of Washington, Seattle, USA, in the position of research assistant (1990 – 1995). He graduated from the University of Washington, USA, with the B.Sc., M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in Electrical Engineering.
Mr. Czapski does not conduct directly or through legal entities any activities that would compete with the activities of Netia or its subsidiaries. He is not a partner in a civil law company or any partnership, nor a member of any authorities of any corporation or any other competitive legal entity. He has not been registered in the Non-Solvent Debtors Register kept pursuant to the National Court Register Act.
