WARSAW, Poland – February 16, 2006 – Netia SA (“Netia”) (WSE: NET), Poland’s largest alternative provider of fixed-line telecommunications services, today announced that on February 15, 2006, PricewaterhouseCoopers Sp. z o.o. with its registered seat in Warsaw at Al. Armii Ludowej 14, registered on the list of audit companies under the number 144 (“PwC”), was selected as the Company’s auditor for the purpose of conducting the audit of the Company’s stand alone financial statements and Netia Group’s financial statements for the financial year 2006. In the previous years, PwC conducted the audit and review of the Company’s stand alone financial statements, Netia Group’s consolidated financial statements and financial statements of the subsidiaries and  participated in preparation of the Company’s prospectuses. PwC was selected by the Supervisory Board of the Company in accordance with the legal regulations as well as the applicable professional standards. The agreement with PwC will be concluded for the period until completion by PwC of the audit of the Company’s stand alone financial statements and Netia Group’s financial statements for the financial year 2006.
