WARSAW, Poland – February 15, 2006 – Netia SA (“Netia”) (WSE: NET), Poland's largest alternative provider of fixed-line telecommunications services, today announced that its supervisory board appointed Mr. Paweł Karłowski as member of the management board and Chief Commercial Officer, effective March 1, 2006.

 

Prior to commencement of his cooperation with Netia, Mr. Karłowski, 41, worked at T Systems Polska Sp. z o.o. as General Manager (since 2003). Earlier he held the following positions at AT&T/Lucent Technologies: Project Manager (1991 – 1992), Marketing Manager (1992 – 1994), Manager Sales (1994 – 1996), Account Director (1997 – 1999), Director, Strategy & Business Development (1/2000 – 8/2000), Director, Sales to Pan-European operators’ segment, The Netherlands (9/2000 – 9/2001) and Director, Mobility Segment - CEE (10/2001 – 2003). In years 1989 – 1991 Mr. Karłowski worked at the Technical University of Szczecin in the position of research assistant. He graduated from the Technical University of Szczecin with M. Sc. Degree in Electrical Engineering.

 

Mr. Karłowski does not conduct directly or through legal entities any activities that would compete with the activities of Netia or its subsidiaries. He is not a partner in civil law company or any partnership, nor a member of any authorities of any corporation or any other competitive legal entity. He has not been registered in the Non-Solvent Debtors Register kept pursuant to the National Court Register Act.
