Netia filed an application for the reservation of the UMTS frequency
WARSAW, Poland – May 16, 2005 – Netia SA (“Netia”) (WSE: NET), Poland’s largest alternative provider of fixed-line telecommunications services, today announced that on May 16, 2005 Netia Mobile Sp. z o.o. (“Netia Mobile”) has filed the application with the Office of Telecommunication and Post Regulation (“URTiP”) for the reservation of UMTS frequency which was granted to Netia Mobile on May 9, 2005 based on the decision of URTiP. The application for the UMTS frequency reservation was filed further to the approval of Netia’s Supervisory Board and based on the arrangements with Novator Telecom Poland SARL, Netia Mobile’s partner.
