Netia shares approved for trading on Warsaw Stock Exchange as of July 11Netia to join Warsaw's Sitech Index
WARSAW, Poland - July 5, 2000 - Netia Holdings SA (Nasdaq: NTIA), Poland's largest alternative fixed-line telecommunications services provider, announced that on July 4, 2000, the Warsaw Stock Exchange's Management Board has approved the Company's shares to commence trading on Tuesday, July 11, 2000.
The Management Board of the Warsaw Stock Exchange S.A. has set July 10, 2000 as the last day of trading in the 2,200,000 rights to purchase series G shares of the Company. The Exchange adopted the resolution concerning the introduction of Netia's series C, D, F and G shares to trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange. The following numbers and series of shares have been introduced to trading on the Warsaw Stock Exchange:
- 17,023,367 ordinary bearer series C shares
- 5,500,000 ordinary bearer series D shares
- 2,250,000 ordinary bearer series F shares
- 2,250,000 ordinary bearer series G shares
In addition, the Warsaw Stock Exchange confirmed that Netia will be added as a member of its SiTech Index, effective July 11, 2000. Currently there are 14 companies who have qualified for Warsaw Stock Exchange's SiTech Index, which was created at the request of investors to help identify communications and technology companies listed on the Exchange.
