Netia appoints a new member of its management board


WARSAW, Poland – March 21, 2007 – Netia S.A. (“Netia”) (WSE: NET), Poland’s largest alternative provider of fixed-line telecommunications services, today announced that its supervisory Board appointed Mr. Bertrand Le Guern as member of the management board and Chief Operations Officer, effective as of April 1, 2007.

In the newly created role of Chief Operations Officer, Mr. Le Guern will be responsible for Netia’s networks and customer operations, including customer services. Netia’s President and CEO Mirosław Godlewski will directly manage sales in two key segment: business customers and residential customers.

Mr. Bertrand Le Guern, 39, served previously as Chief Executive Director in Alma SA. From May 2004 to December 2004 he worked in France Telecom as a Director of Transformation. In November 2000 he was appointed by France Telecom as member and Vice – President of the management board and Chief Operating Officer in Telekomunikacja Polska SA, and he performed those functions till April 2004. In 1994 he was appointed by France Telecom to the management board of PTK Centertel, first as Technical Director till 1998, and then in 1998 – 2000 as Chief Operations Officer. From 1991 he worked in Aerospatiale, first as quality engineer, then in 1992 – 1994 as Project Manager. Simultaneously Mr. La Guern served as Chairman of the supervisory board of TP Internet from 2001 till 2004 and Vice-president of Polska Konfederacja Prywatnych Pracodawców from 2002 till 2004.

Mr. Le Guern graduated from ESTACA technical school in 1991 with a degree of major of aeronautics.

Mr. Bertrand Le Guern does not conduct directly or through legal entities any activities that would compete with the activities of Netia or its subsidiaries. He is not a partner in civil law company or any partnership, nor a member of any authorities of any corporation or any other competitive legal entity. He has not been registered in the Non-Solvent Debtors Register kept pursuant to the National Court Register Act.
