Netia signs with TP an agreement on local loop unbundling
WARSAW, Poland – April 26, 2006 – Netia SA (“Netia”, the “Company”) (WSE: NET), Poland’s largest alternative provider of fixed-line telecommunications services, announced that it received today a signed copy of an agreement with Telekomunikacja Polska SA (“TP”) on provisioning by TP to Netia of the local loop unbundling services (LLU) (the “Agreement”).
The Agreement was concluded based on the terms established in the local loop unbundling reference offer, introduced by the decision of the President of the Office of Electronic Communications (UKE) dated October 5, 2006 (decision No. DRT-WWM-6062-2/06(41)). The Agreement is binding since March 1, 2007.
Provisioning Netia’s broadband services to TP’s clients through the local loop unbundling access constitutes one of the significant elements in execution of the recently announced Netia’s growth strategy. One of the strategy’s main objectives is to acquire 1 million customers of broadband services through various types of access to customers (see Netia’s press release dated April 18, 2007).
