Information on sale of Netia's shares (19/2009)
WARSAW, Poland – March 11, 2009 – Netia SA (“Netia”) (WSE: NET), Poland’s largest alternative provider of fixed-line telecommunications services, announced that today it received a notification from Novator Telecom Poland II S.a.r.l. (“Novator”) informing that ownership of Netia’s shares held by Novator has decreased by 30.33% of the total number of votes at Netia’s General Meeting of Shareholders.
The above mentioned decrease in shareholding was as a result of package transactions effected on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on March 6, 2009.
Previously, Novator held 118,076,553 Netia shares, which represented 30.33% of Netia’s share capital, and was entitled to 118,076,553 votes, representing 30.33% of the total number of votes at Netia’s General Shareholder Meeting.
As of the date of the notification, Novator does not own any Netia shares and is not entitled to vote at Netia’s General Shareholder Meeting.
