Information on sale of Netia's shares (25/2011)
WARSAW, Poland – May 9, 2011 – Netia SA (“Netia”) (WSE: NET), Poland’s largest alternative provider of fixed-line telecommunications services, announced that it received a notification filed on behalf of Third Avenue Management LLC (the “Third Avenue Management”) that ownership of Netia’s shares, held by Third Avenue Management on behalf of its clients, has decreased below 20% of the total number of votes at Netia’s General Meeting of Shareholders.
According to the notification, as a result of sale transactions effected on the Warsaw Stock Exchange on April 28, 2011, which were settled on May 4, 2011, as of the latter date Third Avenue Management holds 77,812,602 Netia shares, representing 19.90% of Netia’s share capital and entitling the holder thereof to exercise 77,812,602 votes, which represents 19.90% of the total number of votes at Netia’s General Meeting of Shareholders.
Pior to the above change, Third Avenue Management LLC held 85,578,145 Netia shares, which represented 21.88% of Netia’s share capital and was entitled to 85,578,145 votes, representing 21.88% of the total number of votes at Netia’s General Shareholder Meeting.
Furthermore, Third Avenue Management LLC notified of the following list of clients who transferred voting rights under Company shares they hold to Third Avenue Management LLC:
