Netia signs managerial contracts with CEO and CFO


WARSAW, Poland - September 20, 2002 - Netia Holdings S.A. (the "Company") (Nasdaq: NTIAQ, WSE: NET), Poland's largest alternative provider of fixed-line telecommunications services, today announced that the Company has signed managerial contracts with Wojciech Mądalski, its new President and CEO, for an indefinite period of time.

In addition, the Company and some of its subsidiaries have extended until December 31, 2003, largely on unchanged terms, the existing managerial contracts with Avraham Hochman, member of the management board and Chief Financial Officer, and consulting agreement with a company controlled by Mr. Hochman.

The terms of these agreements were approved by the Company's supervisory board.
