Netia sells the part of assets of its subsidiary Premium Internet to Mediatel SA for PLN 12 million
Netia today announced that it has signed an agreement to sell its wholesale international voice traffic termination (IVT) business to Mediatel SA for PLN 12 mln.
This transaction is consistent with Netia’s strategy to focus on growing through the provision of broadband services and by improving the cash flows and profitability of its business customer segment.
Mediatel will acquire the IVT specific business assets of Premium Internet whilst Netia will retain the Premium Internet legal entity and its interconnection infrastructure, which Netia Group uses for the provision of wholesale line rental voice and indirect access services to its retail customers.
Bertrand Le Guern, Board Member and Chief Operating Officer, said: “We believe this is a good transaction for both Netia and Mediatel. Netia is receiving a good price for the business which is not core to our strategy, whilst Mediatel receives a wholesale business which is a leader in its field and allows them to build scale in their wholesale focused strategy.”
